Terms of Service
These terms govern use of CookVerse (web and mobile) operated by Food Tales LLC. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
CookVerse helps you discover recipes, plan menus, cook step by step, and optionally shop ingredients via Instacart. AI features (Today’s Menu, Week’s Menu, Chef Studio) may require a CookVerse+ subscription. Friends & Family builds may use Stripe test mode and are not a public store launch.
Your account
You must provide accurate sign-in details and keep them secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Chef handles that are reserved or impersonating others may be reclaimed. You can delete your account at any time in My Account (web or app). Deletion removes your CookVerse profile and personal data. Stripe subscriptions are cancelled; App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in those stores. See Delete account.
Acceptable use
- Do not abuse AI generation, scrape the catalogue, or attack the service.
- Do not upload unlawful content or try to access other people’s accounts.
- Recipe and nutrition information is for home cooking inspiration, not medical or professional dietary advice.
Third-party services
Google sign-in, Apple sign-in, Stripe, Instacart, Firebase, YouTube, and Food Tales are separate services with their own terms. If you shop on Instacart, that purchase is between you and Instacart.
YouTube videos
CookVerse uses YouTube API Services to show recipe videos. By watching YouTube videos in CookVerse, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy; see also our Privacy Policy. Videos belong to their creators and are shown through YouTube’s official embedded player.
Subscriptions
CookVerse+ prices are shown at checkout. Until we switch to live Stripe keys, F&F checkout is test-mode only and must not be used with a real card you expect to be charged in production.
Intellectual property
CookVerse branding, the app, and our original content belong to Food Tales LLC. Catalogue dishes may be licensed from Food Tales. You keep content you create (for example, notes or exports) and grant us a license to host it so the feature can work.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that AI menus will match your pantry, allergens, or taste. Always check ingredients yourself if you have allergies.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Food Tales LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses from third-party services (Google, Stripe, Instacart, carriers).
